In 1986 Paolo Melis and Enrico Diana identified in the countryside of Muravera the ideal place to start a bee farm in Bresca Dorada. 'Bresca Dorada' means golden honeycomb, indicating a very precious little thing which was honey for Sardinian farmers. In 1990 the idea of producing myrtle liqueur was born; this licòre de murta, as it is called in Sardinian, differs from all the others on the market. Unique characteristics are the quality of the raw materials, the processing that respects the traditional procedure and the search for the packaging that is inspired by the ancient Sardinian culture.
The infusion of the myrtle is called a flower; the liqueur is obtained by adding a sugar and honey syrup, without adding dyes, flavors and stabilizers.
Clear, red, amaranth, dark brown liquid; its aroma is of myrtle berries.
Suitable for any time of day, it is excellent consumed cold; in Sardinia there is no end of meal in the company without a glass of myrtle.
