Riso di Sardegna has been the first rice industry in Sardinia since 1951. Over the years, rice cultivation has become one of the main agricultural activities in Oristano and Sardinia.
Rice, the most consumed cereal in the world, began to be appreciated in the West towards the first century BC. In the Greco-Roman world it was considered an exotic spice and a medicament.
Harvested in October, it is dried, then cleaned, refined and bleached.
Carnaroli rice is ideal for all recipes, in the most refined risotto it allows perfect creaming, naturally enhances every flavor and has an excellent cooking resistance.
Valuable for haute cuisine dishes, it should be cooked for 14/16 minutes at 100 degrees; it enhances its creaminess and delicate taste when seasoned with sauces of all kinds, sauces, fresh or cream vegetables, seafood and fresh fish, or simply with extra virgin olive oil and grated Pecorino cheese.
