The Parchment of Bread, a successful variant of the traditional Carasau bread, 'toasted', is obtained with the best durum wheat flours and is the result of the patient work of careful craftsmen. The Cherchi Bakery in Alghero since 1995 produces carasau, the bread that was made at home and that the shepherds brought in transhumance.
It is a crumbly bread that goes well with all dishes, from cold cuts to cheeses, from meat to fish, from jams to chocolate. Crunchy and slightly salty, it enhances the flavors of each dish. Excellent with aperitifs and tasting wines.
